Important Information for Green Card Holders and Visa Holders: Failure to give the USCIS a written notice of address changes (Form AR-11), within 10 days of being in the United States more than 30 days is a misdemeanor. Individuals convicted can face a fine up to $200, imprisonment for up to 30 days or both. Ref. INA SS 266,(b). The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement runs a Special Registration program that requires certain nationalities to undergo additional security procedures to confirm their address change while they are in the United States.
