Form DC-260, Online Immigrant Visa Application (NEW: Limited use)

Form DC-260

Form DC-260 is used only for immigrant visa applicants applying at certain U.S. embassies and consulates where National Visa Center requested fees or documents in October 2010 or later may use the DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa Application. The web-based Form DC-260 will eventually replace the current Form DC-230, Application for Immigrant Visa. At the present time not all immigrant visa applicants will be required to use the new online form at the same time.

The applicant must use Form DS-260 and Form DS-261, Choice of Address and Agent if:

1. The petition was approved in the United States;

2. The application is being process by the National Visa Center and

3. The application is family based (Form I-130) , employment based (Form I-140) or for certain immigrants filing Form I-360 petition, or for an immigrant entrepreneur (Form I-526).

Form DS-260 is limited to the following countries where interviews will be conducted in the following cities: Visa applicants will be interviewed at any United States Embassy or Consulate in Mexico; or after October 2010, other visa applicants will be interviewed at any United States Embassy or Consulate listed below:

1. Canada-Montreal

2. Greece, Athens
3. Jordan, Amman

4. Iraq, Baghdad

5. Peru, Lima
